Foreclosure Facts.
IF MY CREDIT SCORE IS LOW, DOES IT AFFECT MY CHANCES OF SUCCESS?
Because Loss Mitigation is strictly negotiating with your lender, it is not driven or affected by your current credit score. Through Loss Mitigation, all forms of income are acceptable, which include room rental, family member contributions, home based business, and any other form of income not described here.
ARE YOU A GOVERNMENT AGENCY?
No. Homeowner’s Assistance Service is not a part of the U.S. Government. We are a private company that offers legal advice and assistance to people on the verge of foreclosure.
WHAT HAPPENS IF YOUR NOT SUCCESSFUL?
We proudly have a greater than 95% success rate! Unfortunately there are times when the client is unable to fulfill their obligations as outlined in the contract the lender has agreed to. In those situations, it is still possible to save the home by filing for a wage earner plan. A wage earner plan forces your lender into a three (3) year repayment program. Although a wage earner plan has a 100% success rate, it does blemish the individual’s credit rating. Before you file for a wage earner plan, you must speak with an attorney.
HOW LONG BEFORE I KNOW IF YOU ARE SUCCESSFUL?
Once your application has been submitted, it will take approximately 45 – 60 days to receive a response from your lender. Throughout the process your lender may send you documents critical to your application and will require your immediate attention. If you receive any documentation from your lender and are not sure what to do, immediately contact us so that we may discuss the matter thoroughly and inform you of your responsibilities.
DO YOU CHARGE FOR YOUR SERVICES?
Yes. A filing fee is charged by Homeowner’s Assistance Services to package your paper work and submit it to your lender.
CAN I DO THE SAME THING MYSELF?
Yes. However, you are gambling with the most important piece of investment of your life. It is always best to hire a professional rather than experiment on your own. One of the most costly mistakes you can make is submitting an application that is not prepared correctly. In the same way that you hire an attorney when you are involved in a car accident or injured at work, you should hire a professional to handle your foreclosure problem.
